Use this page to request deletion of some or all of your personal data collected by Mercato Brokers through the mobile app or client/partner portal — without closing your account, unless you ask us to.

How to request data deletion
- Send an email to info@mercatobrokers.com from the email address registered on your Mercato Brokers account.
- Use the subject line: Data deletion request — Mercato Brokers
- Include your full name, registered email (and phone if used), and clearly state which data you want deleted (for example: profile photo, phone number, marketing preferences, device push tokens, or “all personal data that can be deleted while keeping my account”).
- Confirm that you are not requesting full account closure (unless you also want that — in which case use our account deletion page).
- We will verify your identity and process the request. You will receive a confirmation email when the request is completed or if we need more information.

Data that can be deleted
After a verified request, we delete or irreversibly anonymize personal data that is no longer required to operate your account, including where applicable:
- Optional profile fields you no longer want stored (for example phone, address details, or other non-essential profile data)
- Marketing / communication preferences and related consent records where withdrawal applies
- Mobile device push tokens and app notification settings
- Support message content that is not subject to a legal retention duty
- Other personal data you specifically identify, where we are not legally required to keep it
Data that may be kept
If you keep your account open, we must retain data needed to provide the service and meet legal duties, for example:
- Core account credentials and identity (email / login identifiers needed to access the account)
- KYC / identity verification records and related audit logs
- Financial transaction, deposit, withdrawal, and ledger records
- Records needed for tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or anti-money-laundering compliance
- Security / fraud investigation logs for the legally required period
Retained records are kept only as long as required (typically up to several years depending on jurisdiction and product obligations), then deleted or anonymized. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete personal data on our servers — submit a request using the steps above.
Processing time
We aim to complete verified data deletion requests within 30 days. If part of your request cannot be fulfilled because of a legal retention obligation, we will explain what is kept and for how long.
